When your flight lands in Cusco’s Velasco Astete Airport, we will be waiting for you outside to welcome you and transfer you to your chosen hotel. You will receive the explanation of your entire trip, the tickets/entrances of your contracted services and the necessary information for your stay in Cusco Peru.

You will have the morning free to rest, shop or do any other personal activities. At 1:00 pm we will meet you in your hotel lobby and commence our tour starting with the Main Plaza of Cusco, also known as Plaza de Armas. Here in this plaza we will also visit the Main Cathedral of Cusco still maintained since the Spanish conquest. We then head to Qoricancha Museum (Temple of the Sun). This museum was an important place of worship to the Sun God for the Incas. When the Spaniards entered the city they ordered to paint all the walls with religious motifs to hide any Inca designs. You will enjoy the great history that is described in this place by our expert Tour Leader. After Qoricancha we head to the 4 most important Archaeological sites within the city of Cusco:

Sacsayhuaman: Site of mysterious stone monuments weighing as much as 200 tons! This place is thought to be a fortress in the Inca capital of Cusco. After viewing all the stone structures you will appreciate the strength of this grandiose place.

Tambomachay: Temple of the water. You will observe great structures composed of aqueducts, channels, and several waterfalls.

Puca Pucara: Military construction site.

Kenko: Mother Earth Temple.

Your Tour Leader will give you a thorough explanation of all sites visited and answer any questions you may have. After visiting all the sites stated we will transfer you back to your hotel at approximately 6 pm. You will have a pre-departure briefing for the Sacred Valley Tour the next day.

Day 2: Sacred Valley Full Day

Sacred Valley Tour begins at 8:00 am. We will pick you up from your hotel lobby in our private transportation and begin the tour. The Sacred Valley of the Incas. Was one of the main production points for the richness of Inca lands and is the place where the best grain of maize is produced in all of Peru. You’ll pass different communities until you reach Awanakancha stop. There will be an exposition of llamas, alpacas, and vicunas in their natural habitat. Afterward, you’ll head over to the Archaeological center of Pisaq.  Composed of Inca terraces and Inca architectural structures scattered on slopes. You’ll also visit Pisaq’s main plaza where they sell handmade handicrafts such as woven textiles, jewelry, musical instruments, souvenirs and much more. After exploring Pisaq.

One hour drive in your private transportation will take you to the town of Urubamba where you will have a buffet style lunch of Andean food. We will then continue our tour in the citadel of Ollantaytambo where Inca architecture and design is conserved. Declared as a cultural patrimony of Peru. We will immerse in countless stories and history of Inca times. Our last stop will be in one of the renowned oldest towns called Chincheros. This small town is known as the city of Rainbow.

It is purely an Inca city that the conquistadors wanted to “civilize” to establish their culture, but never fully achieved to do so. In Chincheros, the past persists stubbornly as if the spirit of an Ancient culture clings and refuses to disappear. You’ll observe firsthand how native people to this day continue to dye their textiles like their Inca ancestors. After various pictures and a wealth of new knowledge, you will head back to Cusco and be dropped off at your hotel around 6:30 pm. This concludes your tour.
